Bleach is written and illustrated by the amazing and very talented Tite Kubo. Bleach has a fantastic main story line and has many many lovable characters and plenty of shippable relationships as well. ;) Although this series is a shonen, so there would be no real romance instead you get intense battle scenes, which usually take place in the sky, plenty of comedy and just all around enjoyable. The story of Bleach has a spikey orange haired hot head as a protagonist, his name happens to be Ichigo Kurosaki. Ichigo is just an average teenage boy, well minus the part where he can talk and interact with ghosts. He's been able to see them ever since he was a small child. Well on one fateful day he gets a rather lovely visit from a small shinigami girl named Rukia Kuchiki, who makes his night a rather interesting one. Turning him from an average everyday boy to a not so average young man.

What I mean is, Ichigo's family is attacked by a vicious evil spirit called a Hollow and when his mere human self could not take on the hollow Rukia saves his life by throwing herself between him and the hollow. When she's to injured to fight, she lends Ichigo her shinigami powers so he can fight the hollow. The two share a moment and then Rukia runs her sword through him and gives him her shinigami powers.

Thus starts a brand new world for Ichigo, his current life is now turned upside down since he now has to take on the responsibilities of a shinigami. His newly obtained powers then awaken hidden powers in other friends of Ichigo's as well, such as Yasutora "Chad" Sado, and Orihime Inoue. Soon the main cast is assembled and they all under go on many adventures together.
